I remember you as you were then
In her work, choreographer Malin Hellkvist Sellén explores why it is so difficult to let go and what it is we hold on to. The work began in 2013 when Malin invited people to share their stories about what they are unable to let go. Malin received these stories by e-mail, by post, by voicemail and in one-to-one conversations. The stories became the starting point for the stage work.
Malin wanted to work with an ensemble who, like her, find it hard to let go. She advertised on Swedish job search site Platsbanken seeking people with this difficulty as a qualification. Together with the ensemble Malin is creating a work that reflects on, talks about and touches our memories and what they do to us.
