Solo

»Solo« was created in 1998 as Malin’s first solo for her twenty year old self during her education at Danshögskolan but it has lived on since. More than ten years have passed and the choreographic language has changed. However the interest in everyday movements, what can be perceived as simple, our social bodies, identities and the politics and psychology of motion, a consistent form and a wish to create a closeness to and joy in “recognizable” music has remained and been under investigation through a number of later pieces.

Solo is a stationary piece made up by a series of varied and repeated arm movements.
